Idioms are popular sayings that are not taken literally, but refer to a different subject. "Bite off more than you can chew," does not actually mean to stuff your mouth with food, but actually refers to taking on more responsibility than you are capable of, for example. The project we took part in was to take seven idioms, and create a picture that took each phrase literally. |
